Though the 8-year-old sorrel overo gelding Ill Be Sensational is no stranger to the spotlight, winning the High-Point English Horse award was somewhat of a surprise for owner LeRoy Poignant of Pilot Point, Texas. Equally strong under English and Western tack, it was in the hunt-seat events that “Milo” truly shined at the 2012 APHA World Championship Show. Named the world champion in Senior Hunter Hack and Senior Pleasure Driving with exhibitor Ryan Painter, Milo rocketed to the top of the High-Point English Horse charts at the end of the show, earning 54 points to take home the coveted title.
