Hall & Seebach Win First Congress with Only Invite The Best

GoHorseShow would like to congratulate owners, Cory Seebach and Candice Hall of British Columbia, on their win in the Limited Performance Halter Mares at the Congress with Only Invite The Best. Better known as Betty Buckskin, the pretty mare travelled thousands of miles and won the deep class under the supervision of Ryan Kail.

“It is our first Congress Championship and still seems so unbelievable,” Cory Seebach told GoHorseShow after the win.

The five year-old buckskin mare is by Invitation Only and out of Zip N Therapy which is the dam of RL Best of Sudden. She was bred and raised by Candy and Bret Parrish of Pavo, Georgia, and the couple bought Betty as a yearling in the Reichert Sale. Gil Galyean showed her to a top ten finish at the Congress Two Year-Old Masters Class and was also a finalist at the AQHA World Show in the Two Year-Old Western Pleasure.

Since then, Betty has been with Kristy McCann on the west coast showing in pleasure and western riding. It was at Kristy’s recommendation just over a year ago that Hall and Seebach should ask Ryan Kail to help them in the halter pen.

“Betty is such a big beautiful mare, and she wins a lot on the west coast and as Congress approached, we decided to send her to Ryan and his parents Bob and Debbie Kail so we could get her out to Ohio. It has meant a lot of miles for Betty Buckskin as the trip from McCann’s in the northwest to Arizona is over a thousand miles, and another 1900 miles or so from there to Columbus–adding up to over three thousand miles for our chance to show at the Congress!”

The trip was well worth it! Ryan was top five in the open performance halter mares and was crowned Congress Champion in the limited division. Betty gets to show one more time in Ohio with Cory in the amateur performance halter mares, and, then, it will be off to Oklahoma City for the AQHA World Show where Ryan and Cory will show her again.

“We really want to thank everyone who had a part in getting her to this point including Bret and Candy Parrish, Gil Galyean and Kristy McCann, and, of course, Bob and Debbie and Andrea and Ryan Kail. Ryan has gotten along so well with Betty and she shows so good for him. We are so thrilled and still can’t believe we have a Congress Championship!”
