Dasi’s Day In Pictures at the 2012 Congress

Dasi, a/k/a Jadasa Jablonowski, is an international guest at this year’s Congress. She is known in the States as a very talented graphic designer and is responsible for many of the beautiful ads you see each month in GoMag.  While back home in her native Europe, she works as a horse trainer as well.

Dasi, who is fluent in English, Italian and German, is attending the 2012 Congress to meet up with her advertising clients and to lend a hand to her friends at Highpoint Performance Horses.

We look forward to Dasi bringing us her view of the Congress each day.

DAY 15
Watching the Congress Masters with my sister was the best way to end Congress. The quality of horses was fantastic! Now it’s time to fly home! Thanks to all of my friends who made this Congress very special. See y’all soon!

DAY 14
Congress is almost over so it was time to do some power shopping in the huge trade show. I visited Kathy Williams Tails and got my extensions. She has a huge selection of beautiful tails. How do I look? 🙂

Emily Cramer Nemo Congress Versatility

DAY 13
Team Nemo (Emily Cramer & Cool Assets) rocked the Versatility Thursday night. They were the champions by winning the Horsemanship and Western Pleasure and placing second in Hunter Under Saddle. This is me with the team including the two tack changers Greg Johnson and Courtney Archer. What a fun event!!

Dasi Angela Fox Congress 2012 Congratulations hug happy

DAY 12
Huge congratulations to my friend Angela Fox and her horse The Heat Seaker. They won the the very tough Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation! Great job!!!

DAY 11
Here I am in the middle with the GoHorseShow girls – head writer, Laura Gilmer (left) and Director of Sales, Jennifer Simpson. I knew that Laura was an AQHA judge but I didn’t realize she was an 18-time Congress winner! Jennifer was a blast and so passionate about what she does. It was great to finally meet them in person!

DAY 10
Maggie Bellville and me giving a good luck kiss to “Its Time” just before the Amateur Aged Geldings class on Monday. Maggie has had a great Congress so far showing her halter horses with 3 Congress Champions, 10 Reserve Champions in open and amateur and winning the WCHA Non Pro Halter Stakes. I look forward to watching her show her horse “Bud Light Please” in amateur select all-around events.

Dasi Debbi Trubee Roger Landis Congress Pine View 2012

DAY 9
Sunday was Congress Sale day and I met Debbi Trubee and Roger Landis of Pine View Farms who were selling some nice offspring by their stallions Invitation Only and Lazy Loper. If they look happy, they were! They had the highest selling yearling in the sale. Finally Got Invitd is a  by Invitation Only and out of My Invested Machine. She was bought by Rhonda Malone from Orange, California. Congrats!

DAY 8
Saturday afternoon I went to the reception of Good I Will Be and met Stephen Stephens, Sandra Morgan and Leonard Berryhill. I just designed Willy’s new logo and am looking forward to this fun campaign! Thanks for the jacket, love it!

Dasi Sweet Shoppe cinnamon roll Congress eat

DAY 7
Friday was a typical cold and rainy day at the Congress. But there is only one thing that makes me feel better right away: a warm cinnamon roll from the famous Sweet Shop! They are the best!!

DAY 6
The Congress is truly the horse show that never sleeps. Every night, the arenas are packed full of horses and riders getting some extra practice time. Last night I helped Beth Case take her Hunt Seat Horses in the pen. Beth is my absolute Hunter Under Saddle idol. I have learned everything I know about the Under Saddle from her.

DAY 5
Here is one of my idols over here, Julie McGuffie from Tennessee! Julie is the world’s best braider and bander and is staying very busy here at the Congress. Years ago she taught me how to braid, but I do not even get close to her precise work. I think she has magic hands.

Charlie Cole Congress trophy couch asleep

DAY 4
Charlie Cole still loves to win! Here he is after not sleeping Monday night and a very long day on Tuesday. He took home two trophies Tuesday winning both the Junior Western Riding on Only In Showbiz and Junior Pleasure Driving with Its Been Awhile. Great job Charlie!!

Horse Gym USA Harley D Zip congress

DAY 3
I accompanied Harley D Zip to his daily workout on the Horse Gym USA treadmill located outside the Gilligan. Harley prefers the treadmill to lunging and he gets to exercise on one of these at home as well! I got to meet Jill Townsend who runs the booth (she is pictured here with Harley). The treadmill is made in Germany and I am familiar with it from home because my sister has one in her equine rehab center. So this made me feel a little home today. The use of the treadmill is free here at the Congress. What a great service!

Dasi Masterson 2012 Congress

DAY 2
I met my sweet adverting clients Ken and Marilyn Masterson at their stall set up in the Gilligan Barn. Their stalls look a lot like their farm in Tennessee. It has been a year since I’ve seen them and it was very nice to catch up. They are here with futurity horses sired by their stallion, RL Best Of Sudden. Marilyn is very excited about her new 3-year-old show horse also sired by Bo.

lounge lunge congress line

DAY 1
Many of the horses have started arriving. It’s a little chilly…and that means a lot of lunging. So I think today can officially be called “Lunging Day!” You could see horses going to get lunged, waiting to get lunged, being lunged, coming back from being lunged. All this lunging traffic caused long lines and longer waiting times.
