GoHorseShow would like to congratulate Cody Parrish of Pavo, Georgia and All The Sudden (Martin) on winning the Western Pleasure at the Youth World in impressive fashion. The duo had three firsts and two seconds and was 96 points ahead of the closest competitor.
The five year-old bay gelding out of Steve Martin’s great mare and dam, Ginnie Mae Flash and by RL Best of Sudden strutted a gorgeous long black mane and showed off his impressive moves beating out multiple world champions in the tough class.
The seventeen year-old said he had a great ride and wasn’t ever worried about Martin. His trainers are his parents, Bret and Candy Parrish of Parrish Quarter Horses.
“He is the best-minded and he did all he could do,” Cody said. “He is just a huge teddy bear and is never in a hurry. I thought I had a chance to do well, but all I could do is have the best ride possible. We have had him since he was a yearling, so he is really special to us.”
Ken Masterson, owner of Martin’s sire, RL Best Of Sudden, says that he is very excited for Cody. “I continue to hear how trainable Bo’s offspring are and how much the youth are enjoying showing them.” This win is the first World Championship in the Western Pleasure for this sire. Earlier this week, he bred the World Champion, Cowgirls Do It Best that won the Performance Halter Mares.
Cody says to celebrate that he is going to go take a nap! GoHorseShow congratulates him on his huge win!
