The VQHA’s Rock Star Horse Show Fireworks Spectacular held July 27-29 was great fun with huge prizes this past weekend. There was no entry fees for halter on Friday morning plus random exhibitors received great prizes like gift cards and free stalls. There was also tons of over fence classes, awesome rail classes – including a $7,500 all age western pleasure class on July 29. There was something for everyone in Culpeper, Virginia.
The judges for the show were Cyndi Brown, Michele Pearson, Gigi Bailey, Tony Burris, Delena Doyle, Tanya Green and Clay Cavinder.
Colby Ringer and Coosamotion won the GoHorseShow.com Non-Pro Super Horse award and Katy Jo Pickard and WhenOnlyTheBestWillDo (Winnie) owned by Kelly Smith won the $10,000 Novice Three Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle Class.
“Winnie is the best hunter under saddle horse I have ever shown,” Katy told GoHorseShow about the mare by Coats N Tails. The duo also won three classes at the Tom Powers including the Three Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle, Southern Belle, and Novice Horse Hunter Under Saddle. “She has the total package, movement, looks, and great minded.”

The next show for this great team is the NSBA World and they are also qualified for the AQHA World Show in the Junior Hunter Under Saddle.
