Peyton Bivins Asks ‘Whose Boot Is That?’

Boots are an absolute necessity when spending time around
horses. While spending countless
hours at the Redbud last week, it occurred to me that even though we all have
to wear them, it is rare that you see the same pair of boots very often. The boots we
pick, either for work or show, are all a true representation of our personalities and really say a lot
about who we are. So I decided to start really paying attention to what people
had on their feet and it was fascinating!

To the right is a picture of me with my work boots and I think they say a lot about who I am. They are actually hand-me-downs from my younger sister. Also, I usually have the spurs on that say “Bear” since they belong to my trainer, Leslie Lange. They are my favorite spurs to practice in. Overall, my boots and spurs are special to me because it is like having two of my favorite people with me at once while I ride!

Take a look at the following pictures
and try to guess whose boots they are.
I’ll even include a quote from the wearer as a clue!

Quote #1: “I choose these boots because the skin is very tough, just like
me! They are great for hard work and last quite a while.”

Quote #2: “They go with just about everything and are very comfortable.
I think they say ‘I’m not very flashy but have style,’ just like me!”

Quote #3: “This cast represents one thing that is quite important… my broken spirit.”

Quote #4: “My spurs straps are fun and cute like me! However, my boots themselves are long and awkward…much like me.”

Quote #5: “Since I show the hunters, it is hard to be individual when it comes to boots since everyone basically wears the same. My spurs show my individuality because they have my initials on them. They were a graduation gift from my trainer Chuck Briggs.”

Quote #6: “Well, I bought them only because they are green, and because I love GoHorseShow!”

Quote #7: “My Sperries are a nice way for my feet to relax in between all of my jumping classes. My English boots are just not all day shoes.”

Quote #8: “Since I am always riding in English boots, I choose these because they are cute and fun and they are a great way to show my personality! I am wearing my sister’s spurs with her nickname on them which I always get called as well so they work for both of us!”

Please guess whose boots these are by commenting below.  Good luck!
