‘We are so overwhelmed with how people have reached out to us,” Larry Spratto expressed to GoHorseShow. “We are at a loss of words. You hear so many negative things online about horse people, and horse showing, but it can’t compare to all the positive great horse people that make up the horse show family.”
Spratto continues, “We have heard from people from Coast to Coast with so much concern and caring, not only for us, but for the clients who lost horses in this tragedy.”
According to Larry, the insurance company allowed the burial of the horses on Friday, and the men who were in charge of it were fellow horsemen.
“They did it with dignity, and the horses are buried on the tree line next to our track,” Larry told GoHorseShow. “It is a beautiful spot. They took some boulders and made a memorial for them. Everyone gathered here this morning, and we had a service for the horses and planted some flowers…. it was good for us all to say good bye to our best friends.. each day gets a little easier.”
The Spratto’s provided a list of the horses that were lost in the fire and buried at their farm
