The NCQHA District V Spring Classic AQHA Show was held this past weekend at the Senator Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural Center in Williamston, North Carolina. According to Rock Star show manager Sydney Miller, there were more than 1,700 entries! The judges for the show were Patty Campbell, Kelly McDowall, Bruce Brown, and Casey Devitt. The inaugural $25,000 Novice Cup Class was won by Andy Cochran and Good ToBe Immortal. Reserve was Shane Pope and Rumors RSVP. Thad Woodlief was the highest placing limited rider. There was also a Youth Team tournament, and it was AQHA, NCQHA, VQHA, and EQHNC approved.
Rock Star would like to thank NCQHA and their sponsors, GoHorseShow.com, Harris Leather, Boo Yah Custom Clothing, Tag Heuer, and Tiffany & Co.
Trainer Cheryl Hawkins of Florida came up for the show and had a great weekend. Her horse, Best In The Dark, was Circuit Champions in Green Trail, Junior Trail, Open Western Riding, and Performance Stallions where he went grand under all three judges. “It was a great Rockstar Show where we had many nice rides which contributed to the winning of a Harris Saddle for the Hi-Point exhibitor!”
