According to show manager Tom Powers, the 2012 Michigan Spring Swing Show was a rousing success, with an increase of over one hundred stalls from last year’s show.
“The weather was typical for Michigan…from sunny and cool, to SNOW, and back to sunny and warm again,” horse show mom Kimm McDowell told GoHorseShow. “However, the weather inside the MSU Pavilion was fine and the competition was hot.”
Judges Rick Christy and Russ Smith had to sort through large competitive classes on Friday and Saturday–making a later start than anticipated for judges Jerry Erickson and Jim Rudolph who assumed judging duties Saturday night and Sunday. Tom Powers provided a pizza party on Saturday night and a good time was had by all.
The circuit will conclude after next week’s Great Lakes show, where Champion Jackets will be awarded.
