UPDATE: Susan Clayton Moved to Rehab Facility

MORE NEWS: From Susan’s friend, JoAnn Murphy Meeks Gaines Facebook page:

Miracles still happen! We got a call today while we were in route from Marian county, SC to NC telling us that Susan had a breakthrough and was talking asking real questions and giving real responses. The whole place was buzzing with joy at this very awesome event! We drove straight to Durham to witness this miracle in person. She was tired but begged us to get her out of there, she wanted to see her babies.. And she began to name them one by one and cried till it broke our hearts. We all were emotional and cried together. She begged us to sign some papers and Take her home. Susan has to be taught to swallow now that the trach has been removed, so that is just one of the next steps to her recovery. Stay tuned and praise the Lord with us! Keep praying!

Susan will be transferred to WAKE MED on Thursday where she will begin physical therapy when she is able. We look forward to watching the Lord answer prayers continually.

Susan’s transition from Select Specialty to Wake Med went pretty smoothly today. She met lots of new people and has to get used to new surroundings, but I think she did well. Her various therapies will begin right away – 1 1/2 hour in the morning, and 1 1/2 hour in the afernoon. She has her work cut out for her! By the way, if anyone had anything in the mail to her at Select, it will be forwarded to me and I will make sure she gets it. Thanks for all your continued support. We appreciate each and every one of you!
