The Texas Amateur State Championship Show in conjunction with the Big Country Quarter Horse Association is currently holding their annual show in Waco, Texas. The 2012 judges include: Pierre Briere, Scott Neuman, Jessica Gilliam, Liz Haynes, Gary Roberts, Tanya Green, Jerry Erickson (special event) and Rick Meredith (special event).
Michelle Tidwell, who is an assistant trainer for Nancy Cahill, says that it has been a great show so far. “This is a big show for the amateurs and they have the Texas Amateur Year End Award Banquet during the show,” she says. “The show is very well run by Carol Moore, and we had excellent trail patterns provided by Tim Kimura as well as other challenging patterns for the showmanship, horsemanship, and showmanship.”
