The qualifying period for the 2012 Ford Youth World wraps up on April 30. View points necessary to be a national qualifier here.
In February, the American Quarter Horse Association announced that AQHA affiliates can approve up to six state entries in each class at the Ford Youth World. However, total affiliate entries still may not exceed 136; this does not include any national qualifiers for the show. Essentially, affiliates have the opportunity to take what would have been “unused” state invitee slots and use them to bring up to six state invitees in a class where they might have more youth wishing to compete. For questions on this, please contact AQHYA at (806) 378-4342.
The theme for this year’s Ford Youth World, Find Your Inner Rockstar, is sure to inspire youth members to bring their best to the Jim Norick Arena.
At the Ford Youth World, American Quarter Horse Youth Association members will find glory outside of the arena as well. Youth members have the chance to compete in an array of contests; from judging to speech, horse bowl, team demonstration speech and yearbook, and Ford Youth World teams will vie in a team spirit contest.
