Make plans to attend the April 4-8 MAQHA Easter EggStravaganza Show in East Lansing, Michigan. The judges for the show are Manita McKool, Daren Wright, Lori Gingrich, and Nancy Wilde. There is an all inclusive fee of $290.00 which includes stall, unlimited classes, and office and AQHA fees for the circuit on one horse. They already have 400 stalls booked and limited stalls still available.
“The Easter EggStravaganza has not only been a competitive show in years past with large class numbers and lots of points, but also provides fun for the entire family,” competitor Julie Reincke said. “They offer an Easter egg hunt for the kids, the ever popular coins in sawdust treasure hunt, exhibitor pizza party and an Easter breakfast. The Michigan Quarter Horse office staff is one of the best in the region.”
The start time on Wednesday April 4th will be at 6pm with the trail events. Open, Youth, Amateur, and Amateur Select must show in corresponding halter or performance halter class at least one time to be eligible for High Point Awards. Exhibitors must also show in at least three events to be eligible for the all-around awards, but, novice exhibitors do not have to show in the halter and green classes do not count towards the Open High Point Award. They have prizes sponsored by Schneiders Saddlery for every class winner as well as handmade wooden directors chairs for High Point awards and pages in GoMag sponsored by GoHorseShow for reserve high point awards.
There will be Small Fry Classes, a welcome area, a pizza party Friday night, and free breakfast served Sunday morning at 7:30 am. There will be a Saturday morning Easter Egg Hunt for horse show families with children 13 and under. This show counts for MQHA year end points and only Saturday and Sunday count for MQHA Youth Team Points. MAQHA also did a drawing contest for the youth and will be giving away t-shirts at the show with the winning design on it.
