2012 Congress Schedule and List Of Judges Released

A tentative schedule for the 46th annual All American Quarter Horse Congress, held October 5-28, 2012 at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio, has been set by the Ohio Quarter Horse Association. To view the schedule by day and to download a complete schedule, visit www.oqha.com/aaqhc/schedule.

Entry Deadlines
Futurity and Sweepstakes first nomination payments are due April 1st and regular entries are due August 25th.

Judges
The Ohio Quarter Horse Association has announced the judges for the 46th annual All American Quarter Horse Congress.
AQHA: Jeff Allen – Nebraska, Rick Baker – Tennessee, Dean Bogart – Georgia, John Boxell – Illinois, LeeAnn Demars – Montana, David Denniston – Colorado, Tanya Green – Indiana, Doug Huls – Arizona, Lisa Krohn – Minnesota, Bennie Sargent – Kentucky, Kendra Weis – Missouri and Sharon Wellman – Texas.
AQHA, Halter Specialty: Joe Carter – Ontario, Robert Johnson – Tennessee and Gary Werner – Missouri.

AQHA/NRHA: Butch Campbell – Texas, Jan M. Hoskins – Texas, Chele Murrell – Lousiana and Cindy Rucker – Georgia.

NRHA: Bobby Harrison – Texas, Joe Hayes – Texas and Morgan Lybbert – Texas.

AQHA, Over Fence Specialty: Gary Duffy – Florida

NCHA: Chris Benedict – Texas, Joe Cameron – Alabama and Rock Hedlund – California.

New Classes
A total of 43 classes have been added to the 2012 All American Quarter Horse Congress, including one new futurity, several stakes and numerous NSBA dual-approved classes.

The Southern Belle Breeder’s Three-Year-Old Open Western Pleasure Futurity features an estimated purse of $75,000, divided between the open and limited open divisions. The entry fee is a total of $2,000, and the first nomination payment is due April 1st.

New stakes classes include NSBA Non-Pro Western Yearling Longe Line, NSBA Non-Pro English Yearling Longe Line, Open Yearling Halter Stallions Stakes (open and limited divisions), Open Yearling Halter Geldings Stakes (open and limited divisions) and Open Yearling Halter Fillies Stakes (open and limited divisions).

In addition, the Southern Belle Breeder’s has added limited divisions to all of their futurities and stakes.

Finally, Showmanship, Western Horsemanship and Hunt Seat Equitation classes in novice youth, youth, novice amateur and amateur divisions will be dual-approved by NSBA, along with all classes in the National Youth Activity Team Tournament (except Barrel Racing and Reining).
