World Champion FF Would Ya Look was involved in a trailer accident that took the life of JST Topsail Skip on the way to the AQHA World Show in November. After the wreck, she appeared healthy and was able to show at the World Show. Unfortunately, she became ill and was diagnosed with pneumonia and was hospitalized at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
The 2006 grey mare by Kidlook and out of multiple World Champion producer, Keep Me Cool, passed away due to complications and injuries associated with the accident. Her recent owners, who affectionately referred to her as Jazzy, were the Ware Family of Providence, Kentucky.
“Jazzy was a beautiful grey mare with no flaws. She was easy to handle and show,” says Shawn Ware whose son Justin showed her in the youth halter events. “She was a great mare and will be truly missed.”
Just this past year, FF Would Ya Look took the gold trophy at the AQHYA World Championship in the Youth Performance Mares with Justin Ware. Justin and Jazzy were also the 2011 Congress Champions in Youth Performance Halter Mares. FF Would Ya Look is also a past two-time Reserve World Champion in 2006 and 2009, and Congress Champion in 2009.
“Justin is currently leading the nation with Jazzy and we are in high hopes that he will hold on to that title,” Shawn says.
Jazzy was also shown in amateur by Felisha Ware and in open by trainers Jeff and Andy Staton where she won numerous shows including The Big A, Stars and Stripes and The March To The Arch.
“Our entire family is saddened by the loss of this great mare. We owned her sire and dam so she was truly home bred and she was undoubtedly the best one we’ve ever raised,” past owner and breeder, Terry Furhman said. “Most everyone in our family had the chance to show her and we all have a lot of really great memories with her, both in and out of the show pen. We will always cherish those memories. We were so pleased to see her win a World Championship this summer and we send our condolences to young Justin and the entire Ware family.”
