Trainer fulfills dream with great ride at World Show. In the back of his mind, trainer Leonard Berryhill has always dreamed of taking a bridleless victory lap. On November 17 at the 2011 AQHA World Championship Show, Leonard got the chance to do just that in junior western riding on Elis A Sleepin.

Many individuals have probably never heard of newly crowned World Champion Lindsay LaPlante. Well, this 21 Year-Old from Encinitas, California just beat out the big names in a tough and intricate Tim Kimura pattern at the AQHA World Show in the Junior Trail. LaPlante and her five year-old red roan gelding, Only Good Sox (Leroy) scored an incredible 233.5 for the win.

Hot Ones Only put the cherry on his career November 16. For the third year, “Bruno’s” name was called for the world championship in junior pleasure driving. AQHA Professional Horseman Charlie Cole was at the reins for the 2011 AQHA World Championship Show, pushing the stallion to eight gold trophies in his grab bag.
Keeping her fingers crossed. Design By Leaguer and AQHA Professional Horseman Jason Martin of Pilot Point, Texas took the title as the 2011 AQHA world champions in senior trail November 16. “It’s just fantastic,” owner Jane Humes, says. “This horse is such a great trail horse. He always brings his “A” game to the big shows.”
First Win in a First Appearance--Lindsey LaPlante of Encinitas, California, was hoping to just make the junior trail finals with Only Good Sox, aka “Leroy,” for their very first AQHA World Championship Show appearance. Her plan for the November 16, 2011, finals was “to just go for it and give it my best.”
Forty-four horses entered the 2011 AQHA World Championship Show 2-year-old western pleasure prelims November 12. Of the 15 returning to the November 15 finals, two had the same legendary dam, multiple world champion Vital Signs Are Good, aka “Lucy.”
