Trainer Mark Sheridan of Cave Creek, Arizona sums up his purpose and goals in the industry in a quote posted on his website, "Training horses is my passion--Educating others is my life's work." Sheridan's success and passion for teaching is illustrated by over 28 years producing winning all-around show horses.
With the Youth World and Congress coming up, GoHorseShow thought it would be fitting to relive some memorable moments from these colossal shows. We talked to Broc Clark, who is widely remembered as the youth doing cartwheels in the middle of the arena at the 1990 World and Congress after winning the Youth Showmanship with Forged Impression.
At last year's AQHA Youth World Championship show, Brad Jewett of San Antonio, Texas was on top of the World, literally. The Stars and Stripes and Big A Circuit put on by The Georgia Quarter Horse Association is held July 1-10 at the Georgia International Horse Park. Despite hot weather and a few thunderstorms, the show has been a success with some of the larger classes including the Senior Trail with over 70 entries, over 50 in the 14-18 Horsemanship, and 40 in the Youth Performance Halter Geldings.
