Travis Sancken is a Junior at Grant High School in Illinois. He
loves football, golf and showing horses. His father, Jim Sancken, grew up with
horses and Travis was interested in them at a very early age. Travis started
going to horse shows with his grandma, Sue Sancken, and he was hooked.

The Sancken’s purchased Zippos Hot Jet in the fall
of 2008. Just two weeks later, Travis and “George” won the Novice Youth Trail
at the Congress. With the help of Tommy Sheets and Ryan Cottingim, Travis and
George made it to the finals at the 2010 AQHYA World Show and are back again
this year.

Travis also shares the love of halter horses with
his dad. In 2004, they purchased a buckskin filly named A Classic Edition from
Sandy Ellis. When she turned two years old, Jim sent her to Randy Jacobs to prepare
her and Travis for the Youth World. It was Travis’ first Youth World and also
his first World Champion. Since then, he has had two more World Champions and
two Reserve World Champions under the guidance of Randy Jacobs and with the love
and support of his family. Travis will show FG Misters Image and Mr Voodoo Kid
in halter in Oklahoma City.

The Sancken family hopes to see you all at the
AQHYA World Show this year and wishes good luck to everyone.
