The December issue of GoMag is always one of our favorites. Our
advertisers use it to highlight their success from the Congress and/or
World Shows as well as to thank their
clients or drive sales to their businesses for the holidays. The
December issue also kicks off the beginning of the 2012 breeding season
and features many great stallions from which to choose.
Brian and Kim Brandriet of Conifer Quarter Horses
own two outstanding stallions, Macs Good N Plenty and Ty. Mac is on the
AQHA Leading Sire list and is also a Congress Champion in Western
Pleasure. Their other up-and-coming stallion, Ty, is a 15.3 hand, 2004
seal dark brown stallion by Macs Good N Plenty, whose first foals were
born in 2007 and are already winning in the show arena.

six year-old, Colt Knost, of Dallas, Texas has been a professional golfer
since 2007. Since turning pro, life on the PGA Tour has been a series of ups and downs. Knost just
recently had to go through the PGA Qualifying (Q-School) and played well enough to qualify to play on the Tour for 2012.
Trainers Stephanie McAlexander and Anne Shafer of Cleveland, Missouri are all about Christmas. They both train all-around horses for AQHA and APHA show circuits, and every holiday season, their clients get together to decorate their barn. "Our barn falls under the catagory of 'Extreme Decorating,'" McAlexander says. Make sure to check out the slideshow of their decorations at the bottom of the article.
GoHorseShow would like to thank Rusty and Katie Green for letting us know that multiple Congress Champion, Whatscookngoodlookin, has been sold to youth exhibitor Hillary Roberts of Edmond, Oklahoma. The coming four year-old affectionately known as, Candy, is by A Good Machine and out of A Cooki For Certain. Candy and Rusty Green are undefeated in every two and three-year-old futurity they have competed in the past two years. Quite a streak!
Major has had his fair share of bad luck. Dropped suspensories and a persistent case of heaves means that he requires special care. These health issues played a part in decision of his owner surrendering him to a small but active equine shelter in Perry, Maine.
With the December 31st, deadline coming up for submitting rule changes to AQHA, GoHorseShow asked many individuals what rules they would like to see changed. We received a wide variety of answers involving topics such as: the lease program, three rider rule, novice program eligibility, drug rules, performance halter, adding classes, posting scores, and combining world shows to name a few. Let's find out what everybody has to say.
