AQHA judge Ruth Ellen of Frisco, Texas just came back from a trip of a lifetime. This longtime travel enthusiast is known for taking trips to far off destinations. On December 5th through the 11th, Ellen took a trip to Nairobi, Kenya to visit an elephant orphanage run by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Eight young riders piloted their colorful Paint Horses through a complicated drill team pattern. Carrying American flags, the youth kept pace to “It’s a Grand Old Flag” and “God Bless the USA” as they paid tribute to veterans in the finale of the Wounded Warriors –A Tribute To Our American Soldiers event at Sulphur Springs Stables in Inwood, West Virginia.

At the end of this month, the youth careers of several exhibitors will draw to a close. It is a time of sadness, reflection, and looking forward to a new stage in their show careers and life.
