Congratulations to Suddenly A Cool Lady, Gil Galyean and
James and Anneene Gustafson of Starland Ranch, LLC for winning the 2011 Congress Masters 2 Yr Old Western
Pleasure class and a $100,000 check.
Suddenly A Cool Lady is by Masterson Farms’ great stallion, RL Best of
Sudden who sired four horses in the Top-10. She is also the very first foal out of Susan Knapp’s multiple World Champion
mare, Cool Krymsun Lady.
Gil Galyean piloted the black mare owned by Starland Ranch,
LLC to two firsts, a second and a third place in the class of 19 horses.
Despite being one of the highest earning pleasure horse trainers, this was
Galyean’s first Masters win. This
is also RL Best Of Sudden’s first Masters champion. In addition to the Champion, RL Best Of Sudden sired three other horses in the Top-10: 6th place Impulse of Hope, 7th place KM Milliondollarbaby and 8th place Ms Mae Flash.
Suddenly A Cool Lady was raised by Leslie Lange of Heritage
Farms who once owned the winner’s dam, Cool Krymsun Lady. “Annie” was owned by Lange and ridden by
Galyean when she won the AQHA World Championship in 2 Year-Old Western Pleasure in 2007. Lange sold Suddenly A Cool Lady to Starland Ranch of El
Reno, Oklahoma, in May of 2011.
Congratulations to all!
