The 2007 bay stallion, Machine Made, has been burning up the campaign trail this show season. Under the guidance of Gil Galyean, he has added the western riding to his repertoire and has already started making a name for himself in this class. This stallion is owned by Dr. Candice Hall and Dr. Cory Seebach of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. This striking stallion is by the late A Good Machine and out of the late great show mare, Gypsys Little Image.
Affectionately known as Hershel and M&M, this talented stallion was the Southern Belle Green Western Riding Champion, the NSBA World Champion in the Junior Western Riding and the Reserve Reichert Champion in the Three and Four Year-Old Western Riding.

Hershel has also been doing well in the western pleasure classes across the country. Galyean and Machine Made were Reserve Open Maturity at the Tom Powers and Southern Belle behind A Certain Vino. Dr. Candice Hall was the Reserve Non Pro winner at the Tom Powers, and also Reserve Champion at the Reichert in the Open $2500 Rider Pleasure Class.
“Machine Made has the ability to open up his legs and take that slow sweepy stride while maintaining his rail position. Only the truly great ones can do this,” trainer Gil Galyean says.
At the Congress coming up next month, Hershel will show in the open and non pro maturities, Junior and Amateur pleasure, and Green and Junior Western Riding. “He will be a busy boy,” Hall says.
Machine Made will also show in the Junior and Amateur Western Pleasure at the AQHA World Show in November. Future plans are to stand him for the spring and continue showing him.
“His first babies will arrive next spring,” Candice tells GoHorseShow. “We are very excited about them as he bred some great mares such as World Champion Dark Jasmine, and famous producers, We’re Talking Radical and Miss Trophy Chip.”
Machine Made was purchased by the couple in August 2010, after they saw him show at the Southern Belle last year. “I immediately knew that he had to be ours!” says Candice. We had been looking for that ‘horse of a lifetime’ for the past couple years. Luckily, Henry and Donna Rosciti (owners of Gypsys Little Image) were willing to part with him.”
