Kruzer Candids from Rock Star’s September Show

“The weather was a questionable at first, but it turned out to be great,” trainer Becky Meadows said about the Rock Star Horse Show in Culpepper, Virginia this past weekend. “Due to the flooding in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, they triple judged two days and gave everyone Friday to get there and prepare their horses. The dinner Saturday night was great. They had a benefit auction for a local cutting horse trainer, Jim McDonough, who broke his leg. Mike Jennings did the auctioning. They also gave away $2,000, iPads and more! Looking forward to Rock Star shows next year.”

The judges for the September show were Kenny Hall, Doug Huls, and Brian Ellsworth.

Saturday’s dinner was extra special with the raffle games and then drawings for the $2,000 Trainer’s Raffle, Amateur’s Gore Horse Trailer Raffle, and the Youth Apple Products Raffle. In honor of those serving in the armed forces, exhibitors with a valid military ID or military dependent ID received a free stall last weekend.

“Thanks so much to all the exhibitors for a great season. While you’re at the Congress, please remember to visit our hospitality suite in the Gilligan,” show manager Sydney Miller said. “We will have lots of fun and relaxing activities all month long as well as a few rockin’ give-aways.”
