Cydney Benes Reports: The Reichert has been a very fun and exciting show. The night life in Fort Worth has been the eventful because of the excitement built up around the stakes classes.
The team tournament was an exciting day. Many youth kids on all different breeds competed against each other and had a great experience. New friendships were made as the day of the competition went on. A $1000 scholarship was awarded to the first place winning team as well as each team competing walked away with prizes donated by generous sponsors.
The new venue in Fort Worth is spectacular, and the facilities are very user friendly.
My must haves at the Reichert are brownies at the Sweet Shop, fabulous colored Oxford shirts at All That Show Clothing, A Good Ride limited edition Reichert t- shirt, amazing straw hats at Kendall’s, fabulous head bands at S.R. Gold, and the unveiling of the new Harris trailer.
I am very proud of my horse Rockin Raisinette as we ended up third in the all round– winning a straw hat, and we received a circuit championship in the western pleasure!
I also saw Becky Galyean win the Ron Reichert Memorial Limited Horse $2500 Three Year-Old Non Pro with added money. This incredible horse named Golden Moonlight was raised by the Galyean’s and they have had her since she was a baby. Becky says that it felt great to win and she was really excited. We would like to give a huge congrats to Becky Galyean and of course her husband Gil Galyean for preparing this lovely horse.
Well, the Reichert has been a very exciting show and as in the Reichert tradition says, BIGGER IS ALWAYS BETTER!
