AQHA World Show Schedule Notice

AQHA asks that competitors keep their travel plans flexible until the entire list of entries to the AQHA World Championship Show is completed.

Every year, AQHA strives to develop a schedule for the AQHA World Championship Show that is convenient for as many exhibitors as possible, and one that has reasonable beginning and ending times for all competitors. As you might imagine, as the show has grown over the years, that task has become ever more daunting.

This year, a new proposal passed by the AQHA Amateur Committee went into effect. That recommendation paved the way for AQHA to invite the highest point-earning Amateur per class in each state or province who didn’t get nationally qualified. In essence, this is a “state” qualifying system managed at the national level. The intent of the Amateur Committee was to include more people in the World Show.

As a result, this year there are nearly 2,000 more Amateur qualifiers (national and state) than last year. If history holds true and 50 to 55 percent of qualifiers enter the Bank of America Amateur World Championship Show, changes to the schedule will be inevitable in order for the show to run in a smooth, timely fashion.

We ask that you keep your travel plans flexible until the entire list of entries is completed. Once entries have been worked and we know which classes will be impacted, we will make any necessary adjustments – while always keeping your needs in mind and causing the least amount of disruption to the schedule as necessary.

Entry deadline for the AQHA World Show is September 15, and we will try to complete those entries by the first week of October (30 days prior to the start of the World Show). We will keep you informed if any changes are made to the schedule.
