AQHA Show Management Seminar Dates Set

The AQHA show management seminar will take a deeper look into marketing, promoting, organizing and managing AQHA shows. Journal photo.

Become a more effective show manager or secretary by attending the upcoming AQHA show management seminar. Do not miss this exclusive opportunity to learn effective management techniques you can use at AQHA-approved shows.

Patti Carter-Pratt, AQHA executive director of shows, and Melynda Ackley, AQHA director of competition administration, will teach this in-depth seminar. The seminar will take a deeper look into marketing, promoting, organizing and managing AQHA shows.

The show management seminar will be held September 2 in Amarillo at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum.

Because space is limited, reservations to attend this seminar must be booked in advance by submitting the form to Valerie Smith by August 15. The form may be sent by email to valeries@aqha.org or by fax at (806) 349-6412.

The seminar will begin Thursday evening with a reception from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with drinks and hors d’ oeuvres for the seminar attendees at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum. Friday’s schedule will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ambassador Hotel.

AQHA is pleased to offer the following discounted room rate at the Ambassador Hotel, which includes shuttle to and from the Rick Husband International Airport. The shuttle will also make trips to and from the reception.
