The 2011 Circle G Classic was held in Tunica, Mississippi last weekend at the Tunica Arena and Expo Center which is the same great facility the will house the Southern Belle in July. Put on by Cody and Michelle Fisher of Fisher Horse Shows–this event was a great success with great prizes, judges, and lots of fun. The judges for this year were Larry Little, Dan Trein, Bennie Sargeant, and Buddy Fisher.
Compliments flowed from exhibitors and judges alike. With nice sized classes in all sections and a show staff that worked tirelessly to monitor entries, exhibitors felt the ‘love’ and returned it in kind. Halter enjoyed four point grands in the Open Performance Geldings and three point grands in the the Youth and Amateur geldings. All pleasure classes were at least three pointers. The Amateurs also loved the four point showmanship class as well.
The Best Little Boarhouse in Memphis fed a large crowd an awesome BBQ dinner Friday night. The exhibitors also enjoyed a wide-ranging music selection that ranged from Classic Country to Southern Rock to Alternative. Several new groups attended the show for the first time this year and vowed to return due to the excellent facilities, numbers, and dedication of the show management team. Please be sure to mark your calenders and attend Fisher Horse Show’s next event, the Cotton Bowl, this September 24-26th at Tunica, Mississippi.
Thanks to youth exhibitor Shelby Ridgway for the fabulous candids.
