Congratulations to Only A Summer Breeze on winning the $50,000 Hylton Maiden Three-Year Old Western Pleasure at the Virginia Classic. The mare is owned
and raised by Dan and Kathryn Frederick and was shown by Brian Baker.
This 2008 bay mare is by Invitation Only and out of the dam, Zippin The Breeze, who is also the mother of Only Ever After, and Only Intuition–both full siblings and Congress Winners. Debbi Trubee, General Manager of Pine View Farm, says that the Fredericks also have three embryos coming by this outstanding cross in 2012.
There were a total of 28 horses who competed in the class with two splits of 14 horses each. The judges had the horses jog down the center. At the end of each split, seven horses from each returned to the finals.
Winner received $50,000 and a custom Hylton ring
from SR Gold.
The judges for the class were Suzy Jeane, Holly Hover, Chris Jones and Kelly McDowall.
