The weather gods smiled on the Gordyville horse show over the weekend (February 18-20) in Gifford, Illinois. The temperatures were in the high 50’s, a far cry from the single digits they had experienced just weeks before. The warmer weather and wonderful show staff brought out many new exhibitors and trainers and the show saw strong class sizes, especially Novice classes.
“It is great to see new blood in our industry,” said Jody Quiram of the Gordyville show management. This show also offered Small Fry, NSBA and classes for Riders With Disabilities. $150 fee for one horse/one back number was very popular and appreciated by the all-around exhibitors.
Judges for the show were: Sandy Jirkovsky, Nebraska, Terry Thompson, Texas, Rick Baker, Tennessee.
