June 1, 2010 marked the 2-year
anniversary of GoHorseShow.com. In two short years,
GoHorseShow.com has given the horse show
industry a reason to go digital and established
itself as the leader in online equine news
and information. We take great pride that we are able to bring our
readers credible and reliable information as well as entertainment about
the industry that we all love.
Throughout our growth, we have seen our traffic increase substantially. GoHorseShow.com averages over 15 million hits and 10 million page views each
month – numbers that were beyond comprehension two short years ago. Over this time, we have established signature
features to the website that our readers have grown to love such as our digital
magazine, GoMag, On The Cart With Compton, All That With Dakota, Hot Ones Only
Candids and our year-end “Best Of” awards.
Additionally, in the past two years, we crowned Jason Martin and Reid Thomas
Trainer Bowl Champions as the ever-popular Trainer Bowl raised over $85,000 in donations to equine-related charities.
We would be remiss without thanking all of our loyal
advertisers and readers, many of whom have been on board with us from the
beginning. We are able to give back to our advertisers by offering them
an incredible amount of exposure while keeping our prices the very lowest in
the industry and a fraction of most other
publications. We pride ourselves on superior customer service and
value our readers and advertisers all as members of the GoHorseShow.com
family.
The June 2010 issue marks our 25th issue of
GoMag. With the addition of Don Bell as our Director of Sales, GoMag’s
growth has been monumental in facilitating an industry-wide culture shift
toward digital equine advertising.
Our latest issue
features Heat Stroke, a 2008 bay stallion sired by multiple World and Congress
Champion Blazing Hot and is out of Miss Trophy Chip who is a daughter of the
great mare, Miss Trophy Dash. Heat Stroke is a full brother to Congress
Champions Bling Bling Blaze and Extremely Hot Chips.
Raised by Robbie and Joan Schroeder, Heat Stroke was purchased by Claire
Binkowski last August. “There were so many talented yearlings at the
Schroeder’s but he really stood out from the rest. It was easy to see that he
was special,” said Claire. Robbie and Joan agreed, and after starting the colt
and seeing just how talented he was, the three decided that Heat Stroke should
make his debut at the Reichert Celebration in the Equine Sports Medicine $250,000
Challenge.
Shane Dowdy will be on board when Heat Stroke enters the arena. “Shane knows
what it takes to prepare a horse for the big slot classes. I am very excited
about Heat Stroke’s future and feel very fortunate to have such a great team of
people behind him!”
Claire encourages everyone to become a fan of Heat Stroke on Facebook and wishes
everyone good luck this summer at the shows and futurities!
