The pivotal part of the event is the educational portion
where the youth are taught by AQHA Professional Horsemen and –women,
along with top professionals who volunteer their time and resources
during the Youth World Cup.

Clinics
and small-group mentorship opportunities help the AQHYA members. The
clinics include cutting, hunt seat equitation, hunter under saddle,
reining, showmanship, trail, horsemanship, western pleasure, western
riding and a versatility class.

“These
professionals believe in the Youth World Cup,” said David Avery, AQHA
director of international programs, “they donate all their time and
monetary resources just to help these kids.”

This year’s list of AQHA experts include David Dellin,
Casey Hinton, Patti Carter Pratt and Carla Wennberg, along with top
professionals Shawn Flarida, Gil Galyean, Holly Hover, Robin Frid, Boyd
Rice, Teddy Johnson and many more.

The
Youth World Cup started in 1986 as a way to connect youth from around
the world for friendly competition, educational camaraderie and
international experience. This event happens every other July and is
back in the United States after being in London, Ontario, in 2008.
