One of the biggest and most prestigious cutting horse events in the world, the NCHA Super Stakes, is going on right now in Fort Worth, Texas. Featured in the center of the trade show is a booth for GoHorseShow.com’s own Don Bell and his highly-acclaimed pieces of western art.
Don Bell Galleries is featuring four new pieces for this show which runs until April 16th at the Will Rogers Equestrian Center. Most of Bell’s artwork is drawn in graphite, although he is introducing a few pieces in a mixed media of watercolor and graphite on either paper or clayboard.
The headline piece of the show is a 23 x 29 original of the famous mare Quintan Blue and trainer Roger Wagner. Quintan Blue (Mecom Blue x Quiolena) has Lifetime NCHA Earnings of over $500,000 and sold for a record $1.5M in 2006. This piece is available for sale at the show at a price of $10,000.

Bell also has less expensive prints and note cards available and can be commissioned to do custom work on request. Regardless of the price, each piece speaks to Bell’s love of horses and the cowboy way.
According to Bell, “Horses, artwork and the western lifestyle are things that I have always been passionate about and I try to reflect that in all of my work.”
Bell adds, “I’d like to invite all of the GoHorseShow.com readers to come down to the Will Rogers and walk through my booth. We are here from 9-6 except for Easter when we’re closed. I would love you to come say hi.”
