One of the largest and most prestigious APHA shows of the year, the 9th annual Tulsa March Mania show, took place at the Tulsa Expo Arena in Tulsa, Oklahoma and GoHorseShow.com has great candids from the show. Great weather and a fun atmosphere has put a smile one everyone’s face as this show draws competitors from all over the country.
In addition to a regular slate of classes, March Mania also offers fun classes such as Champions of Champions Pleasure, Egg and Spoon, and the Pro/Non-Pro Trail which was held Friday evening. In this class, a professional and an amateur tag team a trail course designed by Tim Kimura. In addition to typical obstacles, the rider must intentionally knock down cones and throw a ball into a garbage can.
The winner of an $800 payout was Chad Evans and Chelsea Bain aboard multiple World Champion Sensational Blonde. Chad dressed up as Bain’s trainer, Sara Simons, and amused the crowd with their antics of trying not to miss the class. Second place and a $500 check was given to Ryan Painter and Daranne Folino who were dressed up as Danny and Sandy from the movie Grease. The most creative costume was Lisa Ligon and Joann Niffenegger who were dressed as Fiona and Shrek aboard “Donkey”. It was fun for everyone involved.
