Nancy Sue Ryan’s Show Stop Farm of Nacona, Texas will be the new home of BR I Am, a 2003 brown stallion who is a full brother to These Irons Are Hot and A Beautiful Ride.
McGrath Quarter Horses, LLC has purchased BR I Am, who is by Duplicated Deck and out of Georgia Rabling (TB) from Rosenfeldt Quarter Horses.
BR I Am finished in the Top 10 in the Congress 3-year-old Hunter Under Saddle Futurity and in the Top 5 in the limited Futurity. He is the earner of 23 points in Hunter Under Saddle. BR I Am is a full brother to Congress Champion These Irons Are Hot, and also Congress Top 3 (as a 2 and a 3) and World Show Junior Hunter Under Saddle Top 5 finisher A Beautiful Ride. Another full sibling, BR Tiger Talk, was Reserve Congress Champion in Youth Hunt Seat 12-14.
“I am thrilled to have an opportunity to stand BR I Am,” said Ryan, an AQHA Judge, Professional Horseman, and leading breeder of Hunter Under Saddle winners. “He should make a great cross on Luke At Me daughters and many of our other mares. I believe in strong dam lines and this cross has proven to be successful time and time again.”
The decision to sell I Am was difficult for Rosenfeldt, who last week lost I Am’s sire, Duplicated Deck, after an accident. “We will continue to breed to I Am and promote his offspring. I think this will be a good move for I Am, though I will miss having him here at our farm,” said Rosenfeldt.
BR I Am’s 2010 stud fee will be $750, including the first collection (mare owner pays actual cost of Fed Ex). Please visit www.mcgrathqh.com or www.showstopfarm.net for more information.
