Even though many have just returned home from the All-American Quarter Horse Congress, there’s no time to slow down now! It’s World Show time! The November issue of GoMag features horses competing in both the AQHA and APHA World Championship shows. Additionally, thanks to the quick turn-around time that our digital format provides, we are able to bring you ads celebrating big wins from the Congress.
The November GoMag cover features the incomparable Majestic Scotch owned by the Johns family of Paradise Valley, Arizona. The word “CHAMPION” pretty much says it all when describing Majestic Scotch. He is a nine time World Champion and seven time Reserve World Champion as well as the winner of countless Congress Champion titles. He has accumulated over 4,000 lifetime AQHA points.
This September, with Susan Johns aboard, “Dickey” continued his winning tradition. The 15 year old gelding was the 2009 World Champion in Select Amateur Western Riding and was Reserve Champion in Select Amateur Western on his way to being crowned the 2009 Bayer Select All Around Amateur. One month later, this fabulous team was the 2009 Congress Champion Western Pleasure Non-Pro Maturity Limited Rider and were Reserve Congress Champion in Select Amateur Western Pleasure as well as Select Amateur Horsemanship.
“We are looking forward to the 2009 AQHA Amateur and Open World Show with Jeffrey Johns showing in Amateur and Deanna Searles in Open events,” says Susan Johns. “Dickey is owned and LOVED by the entire Johns family – Blake, Jeffrey, Trevor and me, and we wish everyone the best of luck in Oklahoma City.”
