The 2009 AQHA Amateur World Show horsemanship finals featured 15 of the best riders in the country with a challenging pattern that would test each and every one of them. GoHorseShow.com’s very own Robin Frid of Pilot Point, Texas, prepared four of the top seven riders including the World Champion and bronze trophy winner. Through video and audio, Frid is able to give us an inside look into the various elements of the pattern and rail work and explains how his riders achieved their resounding success.
The four rider/horse teams coached by Frid were Stefanie Pullin and Suddenly A Good Time – World Champion, Courtney Jetelina and Deelivered – third place, Tiina Volmer and Ima Moxie Man – sixth place, and Bryan Ambrosey and Zippos Gold N Sonnet – seventh place. Frid coached Ambrosey at the 2009 AQHA World Championship Show for trainer Geno Spagnola who was injured at the Congress.
The pattern combined speed with control and agility and placed an emphasis on correctness and hitting marks, all elements that Frid addresses in his DVD “Horsemanship, A Roadmap To Success.”
