AQHA World Champion: Harley D Zip

If you wanted to set up a dream team of western riding horses, go no further than the lineup for the 2009 senior western riding finals. The 15 finalists had more than 50 world and/or reserve world championships between them; five had earned at least one world championship in western riding. First in the go were Team Wrangler member Jason Martin and Vital Signs Are Good, and they set the pace with a flawless pattern. With the scores held, no one was any wiser to the finals placings by the time AQHA Professional Horseman Brent Tincher left the arena last in the go with Lopin Leaguer. In fact, when the scores were finally posted, not one horse in the finals scored lower than a 218.5, and the top 10 scores began with a 221.5.  It was a historic class to watch.
