David and Paula Mueller of Visalia, California, have shown halter horses for a number of years. A couple of years ago, they decided to take a break from showing, but found they missed it. The weanling filly they returned to the show ring with this year has been good to them both: Paula showed Fearles Angel at the 2009 Bayer Select World Championship Show and finished third. On November 12, David won the 2009 amateur weanling mares world championship at the AQHA World Championship Show. What a way to return to the show pen! The Journal asked David more just after his win.
