Acoolest is the coolest in Rita Crundwell’s eyes. And it’s not just because he won the gold trophy in amateur aged halter stallions on Wednesday, November 11, at the 2009 AQHA World Championship Show, or because it’s his sixth career world title. It’s because she bred and raised him – she has known him since before he was born and that’s when their bond was formed, a bond that has been nurtured during the four years she and her trainer, AQHA Professional Horseman Ross Roark of Monahans, Texas, have shown the 4-year-old sorrel stallion. And now, Rita is getting to know his babies – the first crop of his foals are yearlings, and she can’t wait to see how they show.
