Doniphan, Neb. – In an effort to meet growing demand for international shipment of frozen semen to global customers, Dan McWhirter Quarter Horses will stand Absolute Investment (pictured) and, along with new owner PH Performance Horses, Absolute Asset at Gumz Farms, Kentucky Division, during the 2010 breeding season.
“We were unable to service our long-term customers in Canada last year, which created a need for us to move to a Kentucky breeding farm with an international capability to ship frozen semen.” says Carol McWhirter. “In addition, we have had recent breeding requests from both Europe and Australia. Gumz Farms is among the best in the services they offer, especially in the shipment of frozen semen outside the US. We’re very happy to establish this new relationship.”
“We were very happy with our past relationship with P5 Equestrian Breeding Farm, but our valuable customers outside of the U.S. must come first,” she continues.
McWhirter reports that at least two Absolute Bloodlines stallions will stand at Gumz Farms. “Absolute Investment, with a stud fee of $2,500, is the ultimate, prepotent sire,” says McWhirter. “His offspring are consistent, trainable and year after year, top the charts in western riding, western pleasure, performance halter and other performance classes.”
Also standing at Gumz Farms will be Absolute Asset, now owned by PH Performance Horses LLC, Overbrook, Kan., who is joining with Dan McWhirter Quarter Horses to advance the excellence of the Absolute bloodlines. His stud fee is $1,250.
“Absolute Asset’s bloodlines look like the who’s who of quarter horse world,” says McWhirter, of the forthcoming bay stallion. “His offspring are just now making an impact in the show pen in western pleasure, hunter under saddle and other performance classes, as well as performance halter. We’re expecting an exciting career for Absolute Asset as a performance sire.”
