From the office of Don Treadway…
Cam Foreman has announced he will be leaving AQHA after 31 years of dedicated service to become the Executive Vice President of the Ohio Quarter Horse Association (OQHA).
In February 1978 Cam joined AQHA as an advertising sales representative for The Journal having just graduated from Oklahoma State University. Following his initial service in this capacity, Cam served in various positions at AQHA overseeing a variety of departments and activities, most recently as AQHA’s Executive Director of Shows and Regional Services.
Cam has been a tremendous asset to AQHA during his tenure and it is easy to understand why the Ohio Quarter Horse Association sought someone of his talent to assume their EVP position. Most of you probably know, but OQHA hosts the All-American Quarter Horse Congress held each October which is the world’s largest horse show. Of course, the Congress will be one of the main tasks for which Cam will be responsible. Ohio is an important affiliate and ally, and they have selected one of our finest to lead them.
I trust you will join the Executive Committee and me in congratulating Cam and wishing him well. He and his wife, Lisa will be relocating to the Columbus, Ohio, area but will also maintain a residence here where they plan to return upon retirement. Additionally, Cam and Lisa will make frequent visits back to Amarillo, and we will look forward to seeing him on these occasions.
My congratulations and very best to Cam!
