Be sure not to miss one of GoHorseShow.com’s favorite shows – The Southern Belle Invitation. The dates for 2009 are July 15-19 and it will be held again this year in Tunica, Mississippi. Connie Hill, Mike Coggin, Chris Cecil-Darnell and the entire Southern Belle staff do a fantastic job putting on a great show that is a pleasure to attend either as an exhibitor or as a spectator.
The 2009 Southern Belle Invitation Breeder’s Program will again offer a slate of classes in both Western Pleasure and HUS in both Open and Non Pro with payback on all classes to the Breeder/Stallion Owner of 20% except for the larger purses where it will be 10%.
The main event again this year is The Southern Belle Invitation $200,000 Three Year Old Novice Horse Class. This year they have upped the ante and the winner of this class will receive $100,000! The eligibility for this class will include: a three year old horse that must be an offspring of a participating Southern Belle Breeder’s Stallion, and the horse may not have earned more than $1,500 in its two year old year and earned no more than 10 points. The entry fee into this class will be $4,000 until May 15th at which time the fee increases to $4,500. This is a great payback deal for everyone involved.
The Southern Belle Invitation Breeder’s Program will also host The Southern Belle Invitation $15,000 Green HUS Class in 2009. The cost of the entry fee for this is $1000 until May 15th at which time the fee increase to $1,500. The Breeder/Stallion Owner will receive 10% of this payback on each placing.
Casino Nights exhibitors party is back again this year. Named “2008 Best Party” by GoHorseShow.com, this year it takes on an “old west” theme so bring your wild west and old west duds. There will be roulette, craps and poker tables as well as a “dance with the stars” contest surely not to be missed.
