Changes Announced To Congress 2-Year-Old Snaffle Bit Futurity

The Ohio Quarter Horse Association board of directors has voted and approved to open up the Two-Year-Old Snaffle Bit Futurity at the 2009 All American Quarter Horse Congress to all two-year-old Western Pleasure horses (futurity payment rules will still apply), with special added money to be presented to maiden horses.

In past years, the Two-Year-Old Snaffle Bit Futurity was only open to maiden two-year-olds (horses that had not previously been shown under saddle). The board of directors hopes that this change opens up additional opportunities for more trainers, owners and horses.

The 2009 Congress will run from October 3-25, with the Trade Show open from October 8-25. A complete class schedule will be posted as it becomes available.
