FORT WORTH, TEXAS — The American Paint Horse Association’s (APHA) much-anticipated inaugural APHA Fall Championship Show will be held Nov. 6–15 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center complex in Fort Worth, Texas. Bid on This Year’s Fundraiser Filly
Paint enthusiasts will have one last opportunity to take home Gay Bars Christi—the American Paint Horse Foundation’s fundraiser filly—during the inaugural APHA Fall Championship Show Select Sale. Originally donated by breeders Floyd and Maryann Moore of 6-J Paint Horses in Huntsville, Texas, the royally-bred yearling will be available this fall due to the kindness of the winning ticket-holder from this summer’s World Championship Paint Horse Show, Elka Daroga of Bayside, Wis., who donated the filly back to the Foundation. All proceeds will benefit the Foundation’s college scholarship program.
The sorrel tobiano has been trained by Amy Andreson of the Barn at Cedar Hill in Cedar Hill, Texas, for yearling longe line, in-hand trail and halter classes and is currently learning under-saddle and ground-driving skills in preparation for her 2-year-old year. The filly’s education was made possible by Phil and Susan Drawdy of C.S. Acres of Fort Pierce, Fla.
