Jacobs Family Join Forces to Promote dac®

“Well, considering that my mom went into labor with me during the Congress, I guess you can say that I was born into the industry,” says Molli Jacobs, when we asked her how she got involved with horses. Molli is the daughter of recently retired World Champion halter trainer, Randy Jacobs of Dover, Ohio. “With my dad being a former halter horse trainer, I began competing in the halter classes at the age of seven. I got my first riding horse when I was nine, and I have been hooked ever since.”

Last year, her father retired from training to focus on his company, Direct Action Company “dac®” which sells livestock nutritional products. He is one of the two founders of the company. His business partner, Jim Rhodes, deals with the financial side, whereas, her father is involved with products and promotion.

“My dad travels all over the country to conduct meetings for sales representatives in order to educate their customers. He also travels to farms, shows and events to get the word out about dac® to as many people as possible,” Molli told us. “With the success of dac® and its continued growth, he decided that he needed to focus strictly on the company. He’s the type of person that does something with his whole heart and this is the path that God decided to lead him on. He loves the horse industry and all that it has done for him, he’s just excited to be a part of it in a different way.”

jacobsThis past December, Jacobs graduated from Texas A&M University where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Health. During her time at Texas A&M, she competed on their equestrian team and student coached for her last semester of school.

After graduating, her father approached her about becoming a sales representative for dac®, and she jumped at the opportunity. “I was always interested in how the company worked and knew that the products had helped my show career in many ways, so I realized that I definitely wanted to be a part of it,” Jacobs reveals. “A huge perk of working for dac® is that I get to stay in the state that I have grown to love. I will be living in Texas and will be the sales representative for Texas as well as Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and New Mexico.”

According to Jacobs, the mission of dac® is to provide the finest livestock nutritional products at the most economical price they possibly can in order to enhance the performance of their customer’s livestock.

Direct Action Company (a.k.a. dac® Vitamins and Minerals) began in 1983 and they currently offer approximately 40 products. The company prides itself on being a founding member of the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC), which lets customers know that the company has been audited for the implementation of specific standards. Dac® also works together with Performance Horse Nutrition in order to ensure that the equine products are some of the finest on the market.

dac“There are products for halter horses, all-around horses, race horses, pulling horses, baby horses that are just born, and anywhere in between,” Molli says. “This doesn’t even touch the surface considering dac® also has products for cows, pigs, sheep and other livestock.”

Jacobs adds, “I am just excited to be a part of a company that I truly believe in and still get to stay around the industry that I love – as well as many other equine and livestock industries. I plan to travel across my territory within the near future to visit with and get to know current customers and those interested in dac®. I will be taking orders, conducting educational meetings, and setting up at horse shows and events. I look forward to helping everyone with their equine and livestock vitamins and minerals needs in any way possible!”
