Hannah Had "The Look" at the Tom Powers

GoHorseShow.com met up with Hannah Casper and her family at the Hannah Custom Jewelry and Accessories vendor trailer at the Tom Powers Futurity in Berrien Springs, Michigan. The Powers was a long way from home for the Ocala, Florida-based business, but Hannah brought along all of her beautiful jewelry and trend-setting clothing for all to see!

Fleetstreet Max and Alisa Bernhard Win Record-Breaking 20th APHA World Championship Title

Fleetstreet Max, raised and owned by Alisa Bernhard of Germantown, Wisconsin, won their 20th APHA World Championship title. With a handful of events left, Alisa and “Max” have become the lifetime leading earners of APHA World Championships.

So far at this year’s World Show, Alisa and Max have clinched World Championships in Amateur Hunter Hack, Classic Amateur Trail, Classic Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation, and Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation Over Fences.

GoHorseShow.com went to DuQuoin, Illinois, to bring you candid photos and results from the RC Mid Summer Fling and IKI 10-day run.  Mark Harrell Horse Shows managed the 10 judge run which also included two special events.  This run is known for fun, food, prizes and points and it did not disappoint this year!

AQHA Debuts Most Valuable Horse Award at 2008 Open World Championship Show

The AQHA is expanding its awards system at the Open World Show this year to include the Most Valuable Horse Award.  The new awards recognize high-point horses by division.

There will be six MVH Awards given.  The award recognize the highest point-earning horses in six open divisions: Western (western pleasure, western riding and trail classes); Roping (heading, heeling and tie-down); English (hunter under saddle, hunter hack, working hunter, pleasure driving and jumping); Cutting, Reining and Working Cow Horse; Speed (barrel racing and pole bending) and Timed (ranch sorting and team penning).

Oregon Summer Classic Candids Provided by AQHA

The 2008 Oregon Quarter Horse Association Summer Classic began June 23 at the Jackson County Expo Center in Central Point, Oregon. The show and its futurities end June 29.  AQHA.com provided some candid photos.

World Championship Appaloosa Youth Show Is Underway

The Appaloosa Horse Club kicked off the 2008 World Championship Appaloosa Youth Show in Jackson, Mississippi. The show runs through June 28th and is then followed by the 61st National Appaloosa Show, June 29 ~ July 5.

AQHYA World Championship Show Moves to OKC Bringing Changes, More Qualifiers

After being held in Fort Worth, Texas, for the past 16 years, the Ford Youth World Show now moves to the newly improved State Fair Park in Oklahoma City, August 1-9.  In addition to the new venue, AQHA has many changes in store for this prestigious event.

AQHA Past President Everett Salley Dies

AQHA Past President and Hall of Fame member Everett Salley, 73, of Owasso, Oklahoma, died June 13.  Indicuted into the Hall of Fame in 2003, Salley made many contributions to the horse show world which included establishing the Tulsa Holiday Circuit, one of the longest-running AQHA circuits.
