Baylor Remains Atop NCEA Rankings

WACO, Texas (Feb. 7, 2017) — Baylor remained atop the latest National Collegiate Equestrian Association rankings released Tuesday, as determined by the NCEA Selection Committee.

The Bears improved to 9-2 after defeating Oklahoma State 15-4 on Saturday in Waco, Texas, to remain unbeaten at home this season while extending their unbeaten streak to six competitions. Baylor is off this weekend and returns to action Saturday, Feb. 17, facing SMU in Fresno, Calif., at the Fresno State Invitational.

Texas A&M held on to the No. 2 spot after coming back to upend SMU 11-9 in Dallas on Saturday to move to 6-2 on the season. Auburn and Oklahoma State each stayed at Nos. 3 and 4 as well. The Tigers did not compete last weekend but will face Georgia on Sunday in Auburn, Ala. OSU is at South Dakota State on Saturday.

Fresno State and SMU traded spots from the Jan. 31 rankings with Fresno moving to No. 5 and SMU going to No. 6. The remaining slots were all unchanged with Georgia (7), South Carolina (8), New Mexico State (9) and TCU (10) rounding out the top 10.
