Natasha Blanchard’s Made N The Shade Wins Two-Year-Old Western Pleasure at AQHA World Show

Sometimes you just have a good feeling about a horse and Made N The Shade by Machine Made is that horse for Tommy Blanchard and his daughter, Natasha. Less than a month ago they purchased “Mikey” and today we congratulate them and Andy Cochran on taking home the gold in the Two Year Old Western Pleasure at the 2016 AQHA World Championship Show.

The 2014 bay gelding is the young sire’s second AQHA World Champion at the 2016 AQHA World Show. “Mikey loves his job and is a true show horse,” Andy told GoHorseShow right after his win. “Thank you to the Blanchard’s and Rusty and Katie Green for letting me show him.”

Tommy and Natasha bought Made N The Shade at the 2016 Congress from trainer Taft Dickerson. “The first day we got to Ohio, Katie Green said she had a horse she wanted my dad and me look at,” Natasha told us. “The second I saw, him I fell in love with him. Then, when I rode him, I knew we had to buy him.”

“We are incredibly proud and Andy did such a fantastic job presenting the Machine Made gelding,” says Candice Hall, owner of Machine Made. “It was nice to see such a talented pen of young pleasure horses.”

We look forward to seeing Natasha Blanchard and Mikey compete next year in the Non-Pro Three Year-Old Western Pleasure futurities.
