12/13 UPDATE: The funeral service for Lise will be this Thursday at Tulocay Funeral Home in Napa at one o’clock. A reminder from the family – this is a relatively small venue – and it was Lise’s desire for us to hold a celebration of her life more so than a funeral. Unless it is personally important to you, please instead plan to attend her celebration of life that will happen in January. Date and location for that will be announced as soon as they are finalized.
12/8 UPDATE: We are very sad to report that Lise has passed away. Charlie Cole stated on his Facebook page, “We just heard our wonderful friend Lise von Uhlit has passed. Lise was one of the most caring, funny, sincere and a true horsewoman. I will miss her laugh, and I will miss her random phone calls asking me a horse show trivia question. I was her ‘phone a friend’ and now she’s gone. Goodbye my friend.”

We would like to send get well wishes to trainer Lise von Uhlit who suffered a heart attack on Sunday. She was put in an induced coma and is currently at Kaiser in Vacaville, California. There has been an outpouring of support from many friends and colleagues on social media.
“Pulling for you my friend,” Charlie Cole stated and “Be strong my friend,” Holly Hover said, both which was posted on Lise’s Facebook page. Jeff Johns posted, “Keeping you in my prayers Lise. You’re a world champion arm wrestler so I know you can beat this.”
