As part of the World Conformation Horse Association’s continued efforts to promote the conformation horse, the association is announcing its inaugural conformation/ranch pleasure class. The new class will be held in conjunction with the WCHA Breeder’s Championship Futurity, September 18-20, 2015, in Tunica, Mississippi.
Along with traditional halter classes, WCHA believes this is another excellent venue to promote true form-to-function conformation. The conformation/ranch pleasure class will be judged on an accumulative score:
• 60 percent for the riding pattern
• 40 percent on conformation
The horses will be judged in a traditional halter class, then in individual pattern work. WCHA is an AQHA alliance partner that hosts events and serves as the industry authority on conformation for western stock horses. WCHA is committed to proper conformation, whether in halter or riding classes. The WCHA Breeders Championship Futurity showcases the finest American Quarter Horse, palomino, Paint, Appaloosa and buckskin horses in open, non-pro and color classes. You don’t want to miss this important weekend, boasting great vendors, exhibitor parties and the following events, awarding more than $300,000 in cash and prizes.
